During the Meeting, he praised the work progress of the Judging Committees for the three prize competitions and the preliminary results they reached, expressing his appreciation to the Committee members who are keen on objective and scientific evaluation of the works submitted to them.
The Board of Trustees discussed the topics on its agenda, discussing the events and activities that accomplished during the previous period, in addition to discussing the general framework for the Award in the next stage, and the projects and ideas it contains that contribute to enhancing the Award’s media and societal presence, and focus on the achievement of the Award’s basic objectives. The Board of Trustees agreed to organise an honourary ceremony for the winners in the Eleventh Season in January 2024, and to appoint a specialised company to organise the celebrations to design and equip the ceremony hall to ensure that the Honourary Ceremony appears in the best possible way.
The Board of Trustees also praised the joining of The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award to the Arab Awards Forum, which is the most prominent and important gathering of Arab Awards, and includes awards of great stature and wide fame regionally and globally, holding the names of Arab leaders and Arab figures who have made great contributions to their societies.
The Board of Trustees of The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award welcomed the joining of the new member, the well-known businessman with long experience in the voluntary and humanitarian field, Dr Hassan Ibrahim Kamal, and stressed its keenness to benefit from Dr Kamal’s many experiences to develop the Award’s work.
The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, established in 1998, is one of the initiatives of The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group of Companies in the field of social responsibility and is keen to encourage excellence in science, scientific research and creativity in culture and arts, not only in the Gulf, but in all the Arab countries.
